Empowering Local People
Yendi | Northern Ghana
More than Just Charity | Creating Opportunity
Scope of the Work
The general scope of this effort is to provide clean water for drinking, washing and cooking - accomplished by drilling water wells in specific geographic locations in northern Ghana where people are suffering in extreme poverty.
As a result of producing improved water quality, the local people of northern Ghana have a significantly better opportunity to live lives empowered by opportunity and hope for the future.
In addition, community outreach regarding healthy living, environmental sustainability, God’s love, teaching Christ, peace building, sanitation and women and children's advocacy, are initiated in order to improve the lives of those most vulnerable in northern Ghana - all to the glory of God.
The Capacity of Cooperation
At Ghana West Africa Missions (GWAM), our overall approach is to provide basic resources to create opportunity, build capacity, and knowledge for the sustainability and well-being of all people - with a special focus on vulnerable women and children.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we strive to be a servant minded organization working in specific focus areas of northern Ghana demonstrating the love of God by helping those living in extreme poverty.
While partnering with local communities, governments, foundations, organizations, churches and universities, we work to build partnerships to create opportunities to ensure children and their parents have healthy living, adequate education, participate in the relationship of the love of God, to know Christ and are safe.
