Two
Old Ladies I read an article a
while ago about two old ladies who were concerned about the AIDS
crisis in Africa. They determined to ask everyone they saw
for $1.00 to help ease the suffering of those who were
struggling with AIDS. There were so many children who were
born with AIDS and many innocent wives whose husbands cheated on
them, got AIDS and passed it along to them. As a result,
there were tens of thousands of AIDS orphans with no one to care
for them. When these ladies made their vows to ask for
dollars they kept them. They began asking and within a
little over a year they had raised more than $1 million!
WOW!
If two old ladies can do this, what can
we do? Perhaps passing Jackson's
Jar at church, or taking a day with your youth group and
standing in front of Wal-Mart or K-Mart and asking for help for
African orphans. A few people asking will help and
hundreds of children will be helped.
"Excuse me. Would you give
a dollar to help orphans in Ghana West Africa to have a home,
food and clothing?" Could you ask this?
